Whitney Houston's $40,000 Wedding Dress,Music Awards And Others Are Up For Auction

A collection of Whitney Houston's personal items have been put up for auction.

It's been four years since the superstar was found dead in her Los Angeles hotel room and now her estate has decided to "give something of Whitney to the people who loved her and her music", say reports.

The singer's possessions - including her wedding dress, reportedly worth $40,000 (£28,000) when she married Bobby Brown in it in 1992 - will be on sale on June 24 and 25 at Heritage Auctions in Beverly Hills.

Included in the extensive collection, totally more than 100 items, are some of the star's awards, gold and platinum records and extravagant stage costumes.
Whitney - who tragically died from a drug overdose in February 2012 aged 48 - wowed in her fitted ivory wedding dress at her wedding, designed by Marc Bouwer, which features a sequinned bodice and sheer sleeves.

The singer also wore a matching beaded hat, which was covered in delicate pearls, for her wedding to Bobby Brown.
It's thought bids for the dress will start at $3,500 (£2,400) while the full outfit could reach $7,000 (£4,800).

Elsewhere in the auction lot are some of the star's coveted music awards, including her Billboard music gong and Emmy Award.
Whitney's first and last passports will also hit the block - with her first bearing the signature 'Whitney Elizabeth Houston'.
"Brimming with stamps and special visas to countries including France, Japan, Brazil, Holland, Great Britain, and several others, this piece traces the history of the beloved singer's first international tours," the first passport's description reads.

Also up for sale are a pair of trainers worn by Michael Jordan during game three of the 1990 Pistons-Bulls Eastern Conference Finals.
Following the match, where Whitney sang the National Anthem to open the game, it's thought Michael gifted the size 13 shoes to her.

According to reports they're expected to sell for more than $20,000 (£13,900) during June's auction.
