Teenager who disappeared on beach seven years ago 'was gang-raped, shot and fed to alligators'

Teenager who disappeared on beach seven years ago 'was gang-raped, shot and fed to alligators'

A teenage girl who vanished on an American beach during Spring Break seven years ago was gang-raped, shot and fed to alligators, police believe.
Brittanee Drexel was 17 when she vanished in South Carolina sparking a major investigation in 2009 - now the FBI has revealed she suffered a horrifyingly violent death.
The agency recently revealed that the had established Brittanee was held against her will for several days before she was killed.

And in a transcript obtained by the Post and Courier of Charleston, Agent Gerrick Munoz testified about a "jailhouse confession" which detailed how the grim crime unravelled.
Taquan Brown, who is serving 25 years for an unrelated manslaughter case, said he saw Brittannee when he visited a "stash house" in the area she was last seen.He said she was being sexually abused by several men.
As he went to give another man at the property some money, Brittanee apparently made an attempt to flee.
She was "pistol-whipped" and taken back inside before Brown said he heard two gunshots.
He says he saw the body wrapped up and taken away.
Agent Munoz testified in a federal court that "several witnesses have told us Miss Drexel’s body was placed in a pit, or gator pit, to have her body disposed of. Eaten by the gators."

Authorities have searched the property and the alligator pits but have found no trace of Brittanee.
Brown's tale has been corroborated by other tip-offs, a court heard.
Brittanee was on holiday with friends in Myrtle Beach when she was reported missing in April 2009.
Police offered a $25,000 reward and issued CCTV images of Brittanee leaving a hotel, the last confirmed sighting of the teen.

Her mother Dawn said this week: "After seven long years of waiting and praying for the return of my daughter we know that she isn’t coming home alive."

Nigerian Police concludes Investigations on the #SaveMayowa scam story and finds this!

Mayowa Ahmed

The Nigerian Police has finally concluded its investigations on claims that the #SaveMayowa campaign was a scam by the family of the sick woman, Mayowa Ahmed, who suffers Stage IV ovarian cancer.
According to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, confirmed the authenticity of the campaign, adding that the altercation started after the family, Toyin Aimakhu and Aramide Kasumu of Life State Foundation disagreed over how to dispense the money raised.
Oweseni has ordered the removal of the embargo placed on the account. The family can now go ahead with the plans to fly Mayowa to Abu Dhabi for treatment.
See the report:
“The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, who confirmed this today, said the command therefore had to remove the embargo placed on the accounts, where the sum of N81million and 100,000 dollars, were raised by public spirited Nigerians, home and abroad. He said according to their findings, the controversy was caused by misunderstandings over the modalities for dispensing and controlling the money between the Ahmed family, the Nollywood actress, Toyin Aihmaku and Life Stake Foundation. He also added that the trio had raised the money with genuine intent, adding that barring any unforeseen circumstance, Mayowa should be flown out of the country for treatment.”

Reno Omokri Speaks As South Africa Overtakes Nigeria As Africa’s Biggest Economy

The former Special Adviser on New Media to former President Goodluck Jonathan shared this on Facebook. He wrote;
The Now that South Africa's economy has overtaken Nigeria's economy as Africa's largest economy, I can bet you that there will be an attempt to put the blame on the former President. Let no man blame Goodluck Jonathan.Under his tenure we overtook South Africa. Jonathan is an overtaker not an undertaker! At times like this I am reminded of Psalm 23:5 'You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies'. As I speak, Dr. Jonathan is being honored by the entire political class of Zambia. Meanwhile, look at what has happened to what he left behind! Continue...

Ministers Put On Hot Seat By Nigerians At Town Hall Meeting (Details)

Ministers Put On Hot Seat By Nigerians At Town Hall Meeting (Details)

Nigerians on Tuesday tackled members of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet about poverty and rot in the country at a dramatic town hall meeting in Abuja.
Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, set the tone for interactions between Buhari’s nine ministers and members of the public when he said in his opening remarks that government policies should be reviewed if they were not working.
He said, “If policies don’t work, there is nothing wrong in reviewing them. The government must be open to suggestions. If the people say they are hungry, government should listen to them.”
The Sultan said there were 11 ministers in the hall even though they were nine.

He was jokingly referring to the multiple portfolios occupied by the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN).
In his speech, Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, said, “There is a cry in the air that Nigerians are hungry and we hear them loud and clear. There are also unbelievable stories about people taking their children as human collateral for food with no intentions to pick them up.
“This situation in Nigeria today was going to happen; whether it is this administration or another. We headed this way a long time ago.
‘‘In 1986, we were forced to devalue and deregulate. We were forced to open our doors to importation. We began devaluing the naira. We have done it steadily for 30 years. We are now N400 to one dollar and we are told to continue devaluing; that devaluation will bring wonders. I don’t believe it.
“I hope we don’t hit N1,000 to $1 someday because the demand for dollars is $2.5bn a week and I have this from high authorities within the system.
“We simply don’t have it. We don’t print dollars, but the people are angry that we are not making dollars available. We became importers of rice; $5m a day; wheat, $6m a day; tomato paste, $400m a year; and $20bn a year on food.’’1
One of the participants, the Vice-Chancellor of the Bingham University, Nasarawa State, Prof. Leonard Kursim-Fwa, expressed worry about the state of education, infrastructure deficiency and poor electricity, among others.
But a former Director-General of the National Mathematical Centre, Prof. Sam Ale, said electricity had improved since Fashola became the Minister of Power, Works and Housing.
His remarks did not go down well with the people in the hall, as there were murmurings of disapproval.
Another participant asked Fashola why Nigeria continued to rely on gas for electricity when there were alternatives in hydro and coal.
Fashola responded that Zungeru and Mambilla hydro plants were being worked on.
He regretted that even though Mambilla was conceived in 1982 when he was 19 years old, the project had not been realised.

To a questioner who said the three ministries being supervised by Fashola were too big for one minister, Fashola said, “We have spoken about the cost of running the government, and in trying to reduce that cost, the President decided to merge the three ministries.
“My work is supervisory and today in the ministry of works and in the ministry of housing, there are over 4,000 personnel and the number is reducing. The ministry of power has about 800 workers today and the number is reducing.
“So, it is no longer a government-driven sector, it is now a government-regulated sector driven by private sector. And if you have issues about that, I think you should complain to Mr. President.”
Another participant, Mr. Farouk Mohammed, challenged the Federal Government for approving an exchange rate of N197 to a dollar for pilgrims at a time of foreign exchange crisis and economic recession.

Mohammed, a former OPEC worker, expressed displeasure at subsidising pilgrims, saying such would continue the cycle of wastage.
Responding, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Mr. Abdullahi Mohammed, explained that the commission requested that the pilgrims be granted the official exchange rate when the dollar was still selling for N197 to a dollar.
He said the approval which was granted did not amount to subsidy.
According to him, the fund was warehoused in the Central Bank of Nigeria after the approval.

The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, was queried on ghost workers, continuous borrowing and why so much was being spent on one per cent of the population that form the government.

Adeosun said, “There is no quick solution to the present challenge. There is a fundamental problem, but if we can be patient, we shall get there.
“We have a conservative borrowing programme; and we must borrow to do rail and other projects — the rail that we have now was done in the colonial era.
“We have to do rail to enable agriculture and solid minerals to be competitive. I don’t see any other option than to borrow.
“We will borrow sustainably; we will borrow to make sure that we don’t burden future generations.

“We have been borrowing in the past to pay salaries; now we borrow to invest.”3
The Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udo Udoma, said, “When the budget was signed into law in May, it set for us a 12-month implementation framework. So far, we have released for capital projects N331bn. The bulk of it was power projects. The National Assembly provided that it should run from when it was signed into law. That means we have till May next year to implement all the capital projects.”

According to Punch, some of the participants wanted to know why the Minister of Education was not present at the forum despite the rot in the education sector.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said the education minister was not part of the list given to him by the organisers of the meeting – the alumni of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies.

Other ministers who spoke at the gathering are Geoffrey Onyeama (Foreign Affairs), Kayode Fayemi (Solid Minerals Development), Amina Mohammed (Environment) and Prof Isaac Adewole (Health).

Buhari Relaunches War Against Indiscipline Brigade (Photos)

President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has relaunched the War Against Indiscipline, WAI Brigade, in Abuja, saying in this era of insecurity, violence, kidnapping, and other forms of social vices, the role of the Brigade in civil intelligence gathering cannot be over emphasized.

Announcing the development on the occasion of the National and State Commanders meeting of the Community Support Brigade, CSB, also known as WAI, the Director-General, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr Garba Abari said the Buhari administration has declared the intention to relaunch the Brigade for better performance, as well as to bring its activities to the fore.

Speaking at the meeting, Abari said:
“It’s great pleasure that I have the opportunity to meet with the leadership of WAI, for the first time since my assumption of office about two months ago. This meeting is meant to discuss the repositioning of the WAI Brigade in the current dispensation of change.
“I’m not only delighted with this gathering, but excited with you all for keeping faith and working tirelessly to contribute your quota to nation building as volunteers who are not being paid for over 3 decades. So, I salute your patriotic efforts, indeed, Nigeria salutes your patriotism.”
The NOA DG, stated that, “in this era of insecurity, violence, kidnapping and other forms of social vices, the role of the WAI Brigade in civil intelligence gathering cannot be over emphasized. It is in this regard that I call on you to encourage your members across the country to redouble their vigilance in the local governments, wards and their various villages, so that we can contribute our quota towards building a secure society.”

WAI was a brain-child of President Buhari, who as Military Head of State in 1983 established the Brigade, to instill discipline among Nigerians, as well as fight endemic corruption.

OAU student kidnapped at Ife and dumped in Kwara jungle narrates her scary ordeal

OAU student kidnapped at Ife and dumped in Kwara jungle narrates her scary ordeal

18-year-old Praise Adelakin  has narrated her scary ordeal after she was kidnapped during her journey from Ile-Ife, Osun State, to Ibadan, Oyo State on Saturday, July 23, 2016.
A 300 Level Law student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Praise had gone to the school in the morning of that day to check whether her things were still intact in her hostel before resumption after some weeks of strike by lecturers in the institution.
Around 4pm, she left for the Mayfair Motor Park in the town to board a bus going to Ibadan, where her family resides.
All things being equal, she should have been back in Ibadan by around 6pm on the same day, but by 12 midnight of the following day, she found herself in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Narrating the incident to Punch correspondent in Ibadan on Tuesday, she said,
“We’ve been on strike for some weeks. Meanwhile, freshers had resumed three weeks before the strike, but due to the action, they were also sent back home. On July 23, I decided to go to school to check if my things were still intact and probably whether they had allocated my space (at Moremi Hall) to someone else. I got there and saw that my things had been scattered; my mattress had also been taken away with my buckets and other things, so I had to go round the rooms to gather them together. When I did that, I put them in my locker and locked them up.
“When I finished all that, I decided to return home and that was around 4pm. I had arrived in school by 11am. So I went to the Mayfair Motor Park in Ife to get a bus back to Ibadan. It’s a popular motor park in the town because it’s a public one. When I got there, there were only two passengers in the bus and the driver was hanging around somewhere. All the same, I entered the bus to wait until we had enough passengers to take off. As of 7pm, we were only nine in the 18-seater white Mazda bus. It was getting dark, so everyone started complaining. We begged the driver to take off and told him that while on the way, it was possible he would get more passengers. He agreed and we took off.”
Praise and other passengers were happy the driver heeded their pleas. Nothing in the driver’s appearance or the look of the bus suggested anything sinister. After all, they boarded the bus in a motor park, Praise thought.
The journey proceeded normally until the driver swerved off the major road. He told them it was a short-cut to Ibadan. But the path turned out to be a ‘long-cut.’
She continued, “There is a university outside Ife town called Oduduwa University. A few minutes drive past it, our driver said he wanted to pass through a short-cut. He said because it was weekend, there was traffic in front. So he took us through the route. When we turned to pass through the so-called short-cut, we saw a bus in front of us and there was another bus behind us. It was a bushy path, but we were not so afraid because of the other two buses which were also taking the route. We thought it was a route which would take us to Ibadan faster.
“As we were going through the path, we got to a junction where we saw that the bus which was in front of us was already parked. The passengers had disembarked. As we got there, we were also flagged down by a group of about five men; our driver stopped and he himself ordered us to get down. Everyone was shocked and we wondered what was happening, but nobody talked. We were all just looking. The bus behind us was also stopped and all of us passengers in the three buses were up to 40. They asked us to lie face down. At that point, I became afraid as I knew something was wrong. As I lay down, I quickly sent a message on my phone to my dad, reading, ‘Dad, I am held hostage and I don’t even know where we are. I think I am in danger. Please pray for me.’ I could use my phone to send the message because when they ordered us to lie down, the men went for a meeting at a nearby bush, together with our driver. My dad called me back after a few minutes, but I couldn’t pick it. The phone rang out. When they heard that my phone rang, they came back and collected my phone and others’. After collecting our phones, they went back to their meeting.
“After a while, they returned and surprisingly, they asked the passengers in my driver’s bus to get back in. They instructed our driver to go and ‘dismiss’ us off. I was afraid. I thought ‘dismissing us’ meant ‘killing us.’ Our driver looked disappointed, so he shouted at us to get in; he was now holding a gun. Everybody kept quiet. Then he drove away inside the bush till it was really dark. When it was around 10pm, he started dropping us one by one. He would drive for about 10 minutes, drop a passenger and give him or her their phone and bag, then drive for another 10 minutes, drop another passenger, and on and on like that. He would spread the phones out and ask the person to pick their phone. It finally got to my turn and I think I was the sixth passenger to be dropped, I can’t remember full well because at that point, I had become so confused.”
When Praise got out of the bus, it was then that it dawned on her that she was in another world, in the middle of a forest and the screech of insects. By then, it was around 11pm.
“He stopped me at a T-junction and gave me my phones, but they were already dead, so I couldn’t contact anyone. When he dropped me, he told me I was at Share (Kwara State). I didn’t know where Share was then. It was very dark, around 11pm. The village was quiet. Anywhere I turned to, it was forest all around me. I got to know later that Share was very close to Niger State. It’s a border town between Kwara and Niger states,” she said.
Suddenly, in the midst of the the forest and darkness, she heard the sound of a motorcycle coming towards her direction.
She continued, “I flagged down the rider and he stopped. I asked him, ‘I was told this is Share. Please, where is the nearest town or somewhere where I can get help from?’ The man simply said, ‘Ilorin.’ I know Ilorin quite well because my grandparents stay there, I once schooled there and my aunt still lives there. I got on the motorcycle and he took me from the jungle to Ilorin. When he dropped me, I could recognise the area and found out that the place was actually close to my aunt’s house, around Basin area.
“I asked him how much I should pay him. He just nodded his head and zoomed off. He didn’t utter a word or ask for money. Meanwhile, I was lucky my phone came up again, so I quickly called my dad that I was in Ilorin and that I was near my aunt’s place. He quickly notified my aunt that I was coming.
“I was dumbfounded. From where the motorcyclist dropped me, I trekked to my aunt’s house for some minutes and when I got to the door, around 12 am on Sunday, I knocked. She was a bit scared because she was expecting no one. She asked who was knocking. I replied, ‘It’s me, Praise.’ She retorted, ‘Which Praise?’ I said, ‘Praise Adelakin.’ She asked again, ‘Praise Adelakin from where?’ We often talk and so she recognised my voice. She then said someone should open the gate for me. She just didn’t know what to do when she saw me in the middle of the night.”
In the morning of that Sunday, Praise’s parents came for her in Ilorin to take her back home. But up till now, she has yet to recover from the incident.
She said, “I wouldn’t know what happened to the other passengers in the two other buses. I’m still trying to get over it because I’m still scared of boarding buses right now. I used to enter any bus as long as I see people inside it, but my experience has taught me to be more conscious. I am still amazed. It was not the first time I would board a bus from the park, and it is even a public park. It wasn’t a lift.
“My parents came over to Ilorin to pick me up on Sunday to return to Ibadan. They said they immediately started praying for me when I sent them the message. They also told me they went to the police station in Ibadan and contacted another one in Ife to report the incident, but the police said they couldn’t do anything about it.
“The police said they should go to MTN office to track my phone to know where I was. MTN said they needed a police report, which the police couldn’t give because they didn’t know about the incident. Everything was complicated. They said they had to resort to prayers throughout the night. I just thank God I am still alive to tell this story. I don’t know what would have happened to the passengers in the two other buses. I will be back to school this weekend as the strike has been called off.”
Could she describe the driver, his conversation with his fellow suspected ritualists and the area they were taken to?
Praise said, “I didn’t hear their conversation because they really went far away, but they could still monitor us. They talked in low tones. I can’t really describe the area but I know it’s a few minutes’ drive after passing the Oduduwa University that he branched into the bush.
“Our driver was wearing an ankara dress that day; he has an average height and dark-complexioned. Except one old man, almost all other passengers were students. I suspect that the drivers of the other two buses too belong to the gang because they all held the meeting together.”
Praise’s father, Timothy Adelakin, who is a pastor, said when he received his daughter’s message that she was in danger that day, his heart jumped out.
He said, “I just thank God for how He acted in the situation. When she was about leaving Ife that day, she called to say she was returning home and I thought she should be home two hours later. We were attending a prayer meeting in the church; we were rounding off when her message came in that I should pray for her. She said they were held hostage and she didn’t know where they were.
“When I got her text, I told the church members what had happened. I called other pastor colleagues to pray for us. We prayed again till 11pm. Around midnight, her aunt called me and said, ‘Speak to Praise.’ The next voice I heard was hers. I was filled with joy.
“I would like the authorities to investigate this incident because it is surprising that a driver from a public park could do this. They must have been doing it before. Praise told me the passengers of their bus and the two other buses were mostly students, so I am worried what would have happened to her colleagues. I have already instructed her never to board private cars and she doesn’t do it. But with something like this happening in a public park, it is worrisome.”
Meanwhile, Saturday PUNCH learned that the Mayfair motor park closes by 4pm and vehicles no longer load passengers from the park after this time.
The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Ife 1 Branch, Mr. Gbadegesin Asiyanbi, when visited at the park, said Praise could not have boarded the bus from inside the park at the time she got there.
Asiyanbi said activities at the park close by 4pm, after which any driver is allowed to pick passengers on the road irrespective of where they come from.
He said, “There are no kidnappers in our motor park. I have never heard of anything like that. There is no way such thing can happen, we know ourselves, our members are true drivers.
“We lower our flag by 4pm and as you can see for yourself now (around 5:30pm when Saturday PUNCH visited on Thursday), there are no vehicles on queue, so anybody who boarded a vehicle between 6pm and 7pm here and is claiming they boarded it from our park is either ignorant or telling lies.”

Ghana begins visa-on-arrival policy for AU member states.

Ghana begins visa-on-arrival policy for AU member states.

The Ghana Immigration Service said that foreign nationals from the African Union member states can now travel to Ghana and be issued with visas on arrival.

Francis Palmdeti, Head of Public Affairs of the GIS, said on Monday in a statement as Ghana kick-starts the new visa policy.

He said the arrangement would be piloted at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra for three months, and thereafter extended to all other entry points of the country.

“All AU nationals affected by this policy who arrive in the country must have a passport, valid for at least three months, from the date of entry; they must have a return ticket or evidence of onward travel.

“Travellers must show evidence of sufficient funds and proof of accommodation before they are granted visas,” he said.

Palmdeti said that the visa-on-arrival decision by the Ghanaian government was in fulfilment of a resolution adopted at the AU Executive Council meeting held earlier this year in Addis Ababa.

He said that the resolution stipulates that AU Member States should review their internal and external security realities in an attempt to implement mechanisms allowing for the issuing of visas on arrival for citizens of member states, with the possibility of a 30-day stay.

Palmdeti said Ghana became the first AU member state to adopt such a policy and has received commendation from the AU Commission for the bold step.

Princess a sex worker causes commotion after attempt to seduce magistrate failed

Princess , a sex worker  who refused to appear in court last week Friday, caused commotion at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday Monday the 4th day of July 2016 when her plans to seduce the magistrate failed and she got remanded at Afokang Prison, Calabar, for jumping bail.

Princess a sex worker causes commotion after attempt to seduce magistrate failed

The Bayelsa State-born sex worker, Princess, was reportedly arrested alongside her colleagues at the Moonshine Brothel, located at Uwanse two weeks ago in the wake of the clamp down on sex workers and hoodlums, following rising crime wave in Calabar.

She was reportedly brought before the magistrate and granted bail, but when the case came up for hearing last week Friday, she failed to show up, prompting Magistrate Joseph Ibi to order her arrest. It was learned that police effected her arrest and took her to court on Monday to give reasons why she did not show up in court on the day of adjournment as requested by the magistrate.

According to a police source said Princess, who did not give any tangible reason for her failure to appear in court, started making faces at the young magistrate, hoping that the man might be carried away by her beauty.

However, the magistrate was infuriated by her action and ordered that she be sent back to Afokang to spend the public holidays.

A clerk in one of the courts said: “No sooner had the magistrate given the order than Princess let out a full throated cry, grabbed the magistrate’s legs and started pleading for mercy. “She caused pandemonium in the court hall and other adjoining courts as litigants and lawyers rushed out to find out what was amiss, thinking that something tragic had happened.

“I thought somebody had been sentenced to death for murder or related offence. She was just playing the antics sex workers are used to and nothing more.”
At the end of her cry, she was calmed down by her colleagues, who led her into the waiting prison van and was taken to Afokang Prisons as ordered by the magistrate.

Liam Fox polled 16 votes, and was therefore eliminated from the race.

With Fox out of the race, and four candidates left, a secret ballot will be held on Thursday, where one more candidate will be dropped, leaving three candidates to contest for party leadership.

On Tuesday, July 12, the remaining three candidates will contest at a secret ballot, where the two leading candidates will be chosen for  a vote by the entire conservative party.

The winner of that vote will become the new Conservative leader and prime minister of the United Kingdom. The winner is expected to be officially named in September.

May, who was against Brexit, had initially said she is the best person for the job, adding on Tuesday after her victory that she is pleased to have the support of the majority of the party leadership.

According to BBC, she said there is a “big job to negotiate the best possible deal as we leave the EU” and to “make Britain work for everyone”.

“I am the only candidate capable of delivering these three things as prime minister, and tonight it is clear that I am also the only one capable of drawing support from the whole of the Conservative Party,” she said.

VIDEO: Guy Gets Trapped in Elevator for 41 Hours, You Won’t Believe What Security Cameras Caught Him Doing

VIDEO: Guy Gets Trapped in Elevator for 41 Hours, You Won’t Believe What Security Cameras Caught Him Doing

This is the story of Business Week production manager Nicholas White.
While working late one Friday night back in 1999, White left his office on the 43d floor to head downstairs for a quick cigarette break. It turned out to be the longest and most agonizing cigarette break of his life.
When the 34-year-old got into car No. 30 to return to his desk, the elevator suddenly came to abrupt halt between floors. He immediately pushed the alarm to signal for help, but nobody came to his rescue even though he let it ring on for what seemed like forever.
By that time, it was already 11 p.m. and with the weekend right around the corner, the entire building was practically deserted. Little did he know that he would be trapped inside that elevator for nearly two days before being rescued.
The security camera was rolling the entire time, and the footage it caught is enough to give anyone a panic attack, even if they’re not claustrophobic.
White paced back and forth endlessly, slowly losing his mind as he contemplated just how long he was going to be stuck there. Then, he got down on the floor to try and remain calm.
“I had no idea if it was day or night,” White explained to ABC News.
Because he just went outside for what he thought was going to be short break, he didn’t bring anything with him (no cell phone, watch, food or water). All he had in his pockets was a pack of Rolaids. At one point during the nerve-racking ordeal, he opened the elevator doors and yelled out for help. But no one heard him. The only other time he opened those doors was to relieve himself by peeing down into the elevator shaft. It wasn’t until 41 hours later, when someone on the intercom asked if anyone was there, that White was finally freed.
He later received a settlement from the building for having endured such a nightmare.

An armoured personnel carrier was used to destroy pirated DVDs during a ceremonial destruction of confiscated counterfeit and pirated goods in The Philippines on Monday.
It was put to better use by helping to crush the contraband goods at the main police headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon city, Metro Manila.

Government workers also used rollers to destroy the counterfeit sunglasses and other pirated materials. Filipino workers then collected the crushed piles and put the debris into rubbish skips.
