In just 11 minutes, AY’s ‘Na so we see am’ summarised Nigeria in 2016 so far

Ayo Makun might not be the funniest stand-up comedian around, but he sure knows how to run this comedy business.
What in lacks in those 5-minute stand-up skills, he makes up for greatly in his direction, writing, and just about everything else that has to do with the business side of comedy.



At this year’s AY Live, the star performance was a stage play, written and directed by him which he called Na So We See Am O.

 

This is as he has rightly called, the best AY skit ever, and we have more than one reason to love it.

Let us start with the cast, AY knows that once you give us Falz, you have us spellbound. But he added someone else to make the casting a complete slay, the one and only Chigurl.
The veteran touch in this case, comes from the AY and Princess end.
Then to the main story of the play which addresses the major issues that have rocked Nigerian social media in 2016, from Olajumoke to Psquare and even to Buhari’s obsession with corruption.
The best part about it? The transitions are so fluid you can tell it was well thought out, scripted and played out.
AY has done it again, and with plays like this, we bet the event will be just as packed next year.
