#TrendingNow: 10 music videos released this month you need to check out right away
If I start to talk (feat. Dr Sid)- Tiwa Savage
When it comes to the music video aesthetic, Tiwa Savage has been breaking the rules and raising bars she previously set by herself since her Kele Kele Love days. This time around, donned in both androgynous and traditional outfits, Tiwa returns with a transcendental adjoining video to ‘If I Start to Talk, one of the biggest highlights off her 2015 R.E.D album. Everything – M.I
We’re not sure how exactly M.I is keeping things together these days as Chocolate City’s new president. Ice Prince has mostly been silent, Milli allegedly prematurely exited the label and Pryse’ Pryseless freestyles have failed to get any major traction. Nonetheless, everything appears business as usual with M.I the rapper as he just recently dropped Everything , the first video off his Illegal Music 3 mixtape. Mama – Kiss Daniel As Kiss Daniel gears up for the release of his debut New Era album, the singer seems to be putting finishing touches to the pre-release marketing and promotion for the album. Mama is the latest video from the G-Worldwide signee. With a neatly plotted narrative for the video, Kiss Daniel succeeds in showing us a more diverse, solemn side of his artistry outside the heavy pop numbers that made him a fan favourite over the last two years. Dance – Flavour Flavour’s Clarence Peters directed Dance video was a mid-April release that started gaining major buzz on the internet as a result of Peter’s direct mimic of Justin Beiber’s Sorry. The video directly takes inspiration from Beiber’s with an African twist that has been lauded for its vivid colours and dance moves. Pack and Go (feat Olamide) – Seyi Shay After the release of the visuals for Mary earlier this year, we knew Seyi Shay had more coming for us. Like its predeccesor, Pack and Go is another song off her highly underrated 2015 Seyi or Shay album. Eleko – Mayorkun Davido’s latest signee Mayorkun landed on the map with a bang we have almost never seen before. The singer was discovered by Davido via a 15 second video of him covering Davido’s Money on Instagram. His drop into the limelight has been so well received, his debut music video Eleko gained over a million views in less than two weeks. Fook You – Sojay Edge Records signed Sojay released his debut EP, So Far on iTunes earlier this month and one of the songs on the 10 trackcollective is this controversial sex tune. Ready – Adekunle Adekunle Gold is still on the road to becoming a household name, but the singer has been steadily carving a niche for himself with aspirational numbers like Pick Up and Orente. Ready follows along the lines of such songs with a crisp video of Adekunle Gold seeking love. Oni Reason (feat. Davido) – Tillaman
Tillaman continues to marvel with preppy afropop numbers like this one which features Davido. Baby Mama – Cynthia Morgan
