Much ado about the seven women that sell Agbo which causes Ikoyi secuirty guards to fall asleep


 

Seven women, Toyosi Ismail, 22, Shola Salami, 30, Taiwo Azeez, 20, Aderele Deborah, 22, Aderele Elizabeth, 20, 0lalere Tobi, 21, and Fatimo Ade, 25 who sell alcoholic drinks that make security guards and domestic staff fall asleep in Ikoyi, have been arrested.
PM News reports that the suspects were arrested at Falomo, Ikoyi Club, Mosley Roads and Thomson street, Ikoyi, after residents of the Ikoyi area alerted the police.

The residents appealed to the DPO to do his best to stop the influx of the hawkers into Ikoyi.


The woman were arraigned before the Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos on charges of felony to wit, unlawful possession and display of suspected harmful herbal and alcoholic drinks.

The women pleaded not guilty to the allegations, and the Magistrate Mrs S.K. Matepo struck out the case, discharged and acquitted the women when the police could not convince the court that the drinks the women sell were fake or harmful to health.
