Lagos Police arrests hundreds of Okada riders
Lagos Nigeria: Motocycles (Okada) has been banned by the Lagos State Government for over a year now, but the Okada riders are back in business on Lagos roads but not without the fear of TaskForce.
"Once we hear them coming, we run," says one okada rider
BattaBox witnessed taskforce officials impounding hundreds of motorcycles and arresting its riders for violating the laws of the state.
"If they are doing things against the law in Lagos, then its good for them," says one passerby
But is it fair that the government take away these people's livelihood? What should be done?
"There is unemployment everywhere in Nigeria," replies one guy who sympathises with the arrested okada riders
