Adele’s ’25’ Breaks First Week Sales Record By Selling 3.38 Million Copies

It’s official now. Adele’s album, 25, is a record breaking album in terms of first week sales.

The final tally comes up to an incredible 3.38 million copies in its first week of sales in the United States.

That completely smashes the previous record held by *NSYNC’s No Strings Attached, which sold 2.42 million in the first week.

The “Hello” singer’s third album also almost doubled the first week sales of the highest selling album last year which was Taylor Swift’s 1989 which clock 1.8 million in the first week. According to Billboard, 25, will clock in at number 1 on the billboard 200 albums chart.

Take a bow Adele! This is outstanding.
